Filming the last season of HBO’s most popular series, with millions of fans and fans around the world, is over, and that's how Game of Thrones cast on the last day of filming season 8.

Interview from the last day of filming

What was your last day on set? How did you react to it?

Macy Williams / Arya Stark

It was very emotional. For me it was the last day of filming, the rest were still finishing in their days.

Sophie Turner / Sansa Stark

For me it was also the last day. Then I was still platooned for a long time. And somewhere for five whole days we shot one scene, the last. Well, in the end, I think we were all emotionally twisted. I caught myself thinking that every time they shouted "filmed", I thought: "Oh God, here it is, here it is the final scene!". And then they say to me: “More shooting,” so I cleaned up the tears, I did not cry anymore.

Gwendoline Christie / Brienne Tarte

I think that the whole season went, in principle, smoothly, but in the end, I just broke down, and I just could not calm down, cried for probably two hours.

Christopher Heavyview / Tormund

This is the quintessence of everything we have been doing all these years. And you have the feeling that you’re just giving your all. You, of course, understand that everything will ever end, but it was sad and at the same time beautiful, because you work in a terrific team, you do something beautiful, but then it ends, and it is sad.

Caris Van Houten / Melisandra

I cried like a child, it was very emotional. It’s like I’m not at all a crybaby, but I was really hooked.

Liam Cunningham / Sir Davos Seaworth

You try not to think about it until some time: you meet people in the morning, try to be professional, as much as possible. And then at the end of all this, our producers and screenwriters come to us and say all sorts of pleasant things about you. And you have to face reality that you will never wear this costume again. I tried very hard not to cry, but could not cope.

Was there any thing from the filming that you liked and that you have privatized during the whole filming of Game of Thrones?

Macy Williams / Arya Stark

I stole a lot of faceless coins, picked up a stick, which I hit Joffrey on the back.

Sophie Turner / Sansa Stark

I left myself a corset and some other scroll. Brian from the requisites gave it to me on the last day. He held out and said, "On, take the scroll." This is a very large spoiler this season, so I hid it away in my wallet so that no one would see it.

Richard Dormer / Berik Dondarrion

All I took is my blindfold. I also wanted my sword, so (appeal) Tommy, if you're still there, can I pick up my sword already?

Liam Cunningham / Sir Davos Seaworth

Yes, I took something. Several things found a new home. I stole the Dothraki sword, I also took the deer that I gave Shiren, and even the burnt one that I found in the ashes, he stands by my daughter on the wall of "chic". And I also wanted to steal the van and fill it with a couple of iron thrones, but they did not give me. Bastards! (laughs).

Do you remember your first day on set?

Macy Williams / Arya Stark

Sophie and I were so young. I remember that I sat at the table for a very, very long time. I didn’t even know where the camera was, I didn’t know what was going on. Three hours passed, and then they told me that I should take the cake and toss it. And everyone threw pies. I said, what if I get into the camera? They told me you won’t get there. And what have I done? Hit the camera!

Sophie turner

It was a banquet. I hardly remember him.

Caris Van Houten / Melisandra

I remember very well that I was worried. I needed to burn the statues of the seven gods, then I had a rather long speech in front of a large number of people. I was very lightly dressed, and I was cold. I had to play, as if the calmest person in the world.

Rory McCann / Mountain

The first day I didn’t have a gray hair in a beard, and now look! It is your fault! (points to Christopher).

Christopher Heavyview / Tormund

I remember my first day, I did not sign a contract, so it was like a second audition. I did not sign, I thought that I would star in everything for the day and that’s it.

Gwendoline Christie / Brienne Tarte

On my first day of shooting there was a hurricane, and we tried to somehow work with it, but the site began to be demolished by the wind, I tried to cope with it. As a result, we had to rebuild everything. Such a drama!
